You don't have to carry your story alone. Whether you're healing from childhood wounds, navigating anxiety, supporting a child, or simply trying to understand yourself better β this is a safe place to begin.
Before you read another word, I'd like to speak to you directly. In this short video, I share why I do this work, what you can expect from our time together, and why I believe your story matters more than you know.
Every behaviour has a story. We don't label or pathologise β we explore. Understanding where your patterns come from is the beginning of everything.
Counselling should feel like a space where you can be fully honest without judgement. From the first message to the last session, safety is the priority.
Healing is possible. Not because the past disappears, but because it no longer has to define how you live, love or parent. You can break the cycle.
I came to this work not through a textbook, but through a deep understanding of what it means to carry something invisible. I knew early on that the children and families struggling quietly around me needed someone who would not just be professionally trained, but deeply present β someone who could sit with their pain without rushing to fix it.
Over more than a decade, I have worked with children who couldn't find words for what they were feeling, adolescents navigating the weight of homes they didn't choose, adults finally making sense of why they are the way they are, and parents courageously trying to give their children something different.
My mission, through this practice and through the Break the Cycleβ’ movement, is to help people understand how childhood shapes adulthood β so they can heal, build healthier relationships, and raise emotionally healthy children.
For those healing from childhood emotional wounds, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or who simply want to understand why they feel the way they do.
Creating a safe, age-appropriate space for younger children to express themselves, process difficulties and feel understood.
Adolescence is complex. A non-judgemental space for teens to make sense of identity, relationships, family dynamics and emotional confusion.
Parenting coaching for those who want to raise emotionally healthy children and break unhealthy cycles they may have inherited.
Marriage counselling for couples seeking to understand each other more deeply, communicate better and rebuild connection.

Step 1
Dear friend,
Thank you for being here. I know it takes courage to reach out β and I want you to know that the fact that you are reading these words is already a brave step.
My name is Fatima Abdulkareem Abidemi. I am a certified Child & Adolescent Counsellor and Mental Health Educator with over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families.
This practice was built on one belief: every person deserves to be understood. Not fixed. Not judged. Understood.
Counselling is a safe, confidential space where you are free to speak about what is on your mind β without fear of judgement, advice you didn't ask for, or pressure to feel differently than you do.
It is not about telling you what to do. It is about helping you understand yourself β your patterns, your feelings, your story β so that you can make choices that feel right for you.
Our first session is simply a conversation. I will ask a few gentle questions to understand what has brought you here and what you are hoping for. There is no assessment. There is no test. It is just two people talking.
I don't believe people are broken. I believe every behaviour has a story. And I believe that understanding that story β with compassion, not criticism β is where healing begins.
I look forward to meeting you.
Warm regards,
Fatima Abdulkareem Abidemi
